Cracking the Gender Code
Our Families Rainbow Journey--So Far
Korey and I (Celest) grew up mormon. We are raising a vibrantly queer kid, in a safe, accepting and heatlhy environment. This episode travels back in time while Korey and I share how we grew up not just in a heteronormative background, but one that is not affirming. We talk about how the mormon church got heavily involved in Prop 8 and how that was the catalyst out of the religion we grew up in.
Join us as we share how Rory first came out to us, and how our understanding and journey has grown since then.

Ronda Bennett
Ronda and I met online and built a friendship. Our kids were both being homeschooled, when Ronda got a job and needed support. Nia came and hung out with Rory and I a couple of times a week. Ronda shares how my kid's swearing and my non-reaction helped her move into lighter parenting. We talk about the power of words and how they are also just words.
Frienships show up in our lives when we need them. Ronda felt I was a gift to her life, and I share with her how important that friendship was for me as well as I was navigating my panic disorder at the time.
Listen to the episode to hear how we are both navigating mental health, parenting and frienship and life in general. My favorite from this episode is talking about when shit hits the fan. Its a must listen.

Conversations about intentional living.
What is a life of intention? For me it is all about living with authenticity, community and connection. Every episode is a conversation about just that. Deciding what are the things we want to remove from our lives (unpacking) and what are the things we want to put back in? (packing) Let's talk about life.
